Senior Civil Engineer
OVERVIEW:
We are accepting resumes for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team with experience performing the following duties.
DUTIES:
· Coordinate, oversee, prepare and review civil engineering documents and deliverables, water resources engineering documents and deliverables, develop reports, designs, drawings, specifications and related documentation; perform engineering design calculations and construction cost inspection and estimates; ensure all project and program designs, documents, and drawings and specifications comply with clients (governmental and private sector) and professional engineering principles, standards and practices.
1. Prepare and review technical studies, reports, designs, drawings, specifications and related documentation; perform engineering design calculations, construction inspection and cost estimates
2. Prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates; define scope of work and develop conceptual plans
3. Identify goals, standards, procedures and quality assurance standards for assigned projects
4. Identify critical project issues; review and comment on consultant work.
5. Manage project budgets, scopes, staff and consultants (as applicable)
· Apply engineering principles and computer programs to the solution of engineering problems. Lead, and oversee work responsible for the planning, design, development, construction, operation and maintenance of the client's projects including civil engineering, water resources and drainage engineering, paving and grading, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, stormwater management, permitting, construction inspection and engineers certifications. Prepare feasibility studies and cost estimates, utility relocation, develop and evaluate alternative operational scenarios, define scope of work and develop conceptual plans. Identify goals, standards, procedures and quality assurance standards for assigned projects; identify critical project issues; develop, review and comment on technical engineering deliverables and environmental impact reports. in adherence to professional codes, standards and Client specifications. Strong project and budget management experience.
· Participate in the preparation of project management plans, project plans, annual work plans, summary reports, project team mission statements, and project objectives, scope, sub-tasks, schedules, budget and resources, prepare project schedules, identify tasks and resources required, monitor project progress and prepare status reports, perform project close out and maintain project files.
· Participate in the negotiation and administration of consultant and professional services contracts, participate in the project proposal and business development and selection processes.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
Possess equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field; AND possession of a valid professional engineering license (PE) in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain a Florida PE within 6-months. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain a Florida driver’s license within 1-month. Position may require completion of a background check.
EXPERINCE:
At least five (5) years of engineering experience within areas of equivalent duties as described.
