Saturday is the seventh day of the week, between Friday and Sunday (the first day), and represents the death of the weekly cycle before its rebirth on Sunday. It retains its Roman origin in English which is of the Roman god of agriculture Saturn. It has been called dies Saturni ("Saturn's Day"), through which form it entered into Old English as Sæternesdæg and gradually evolved into the word "Saturday".

Our ISP has changed it's address and assigned us new IP numbers. This caused some down time late last week while the new DNS information propegated throughout the internet. To complicate matters, it seems our gateway was affected by the storm Saturday evening and we have had only intermitant connectivity over the weekend. The hardware is being replaced Wednesday morning and service should return to normal by Wednesday afternoon.

A number of documents have been added to the "Documentation" section. They are functional, but require polish, such as spell checking, illustrative pictures and chapter summaries.

The forum has been updated slightly and has a more "Galtish" appearance.

Numerous small changes have been made to the underlying server programs.

After more than one year in development, GaltGroup will officially open for business on Monday. Sign Ups are on-line, and new members can join now. Our first few members will be given the option to select a free account for the purpose of helping to test the system and work with our developers to improve the service, suggest new features, report bugs, etc.

GaltGroup is a brand new web hosting service, we have designed everything in-house and as with any new venture initial problems are expected. GaltGroup hopes that our community will become involved and help us make this service the best it can be.
